Anna McKenzie is a recent graduate of Film Production at the University of the Creative Arts, Farnham Campus. She specialised in directing and most recently directed her short graduation film, Petrol Station Girl.
While directing for film is Anna's long term goal, she also has a keen interest in the art department, in crafting and building worlds for the screen. While her experience as an art director is not as expansive as her directing work, it is an area she is always looking to build on.
Between her summer job at Everyman cinema and having volunteered at BFI Future Film Festival, The Smalls Film Festival and Frightfest, Anna has always enveloped herself in the world of film and strived to meet like minded film fans and potential collaborators.
Since August 2019, she has been part of the team at Northforma, a production company with a strict focus on Gen Z and sustainability. She has taken on a research role in the company, widening her knowledge of the film industry and its various content commissioners.
When Anna is not making films, you can find her daydreaming about making films, her head in the clouds and her nose probably in a book.
